General Description of School

For more than a century, St. Vincent's College has enjoyed a rich tradition of academic excellence in preparing individuals for health science careers. As evidence of its continured commitment to the health care needs of the greater Bridgeport community, St. Vincent's College offers associated degrees with majors in nursing, radiography, medical assisting and general studies. In addition the college offers RN to BSN completion program in nursing and bachelor of science completion program in radiologic sciences. The diverse student body consists of men and women enrolled in both full and part-time study, experiencing education rooted in a faith-based context where persons of various spiritual traditions can find a welcoming environment in which to deepen and apply their values and beliefs to learning and service. St. Vincent's College is licensed and accreditied by the State of Connecticut Office of Higher Education. The college is authorized to award Associate in Science degrees in nursing, allied health, and general studies and to award Baccalaureate in Science degrees in Nursing, Radiologic Sciences and Health Care Leadership.
