Admission Requirements
Upper division major with students completing liberal education program and nursing course prerequisite courses during the first two years. Application to the major is made during the spring semester of the 2nd year of study. At that time, at least 7 of the 11 nursing prerequisite courses must be completed with a minimum grade of C plus or better; applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0; applicants required to take the TEAS exam.

Program Description
The Nursing Program at Southern Connecticut State University was established in 1969 . The undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program offers three curricula: a traditional four-year program, an accelerated career entry program for individuals holding a BA/BS degree in another field, and a flexible program designed for registered nurses from associate's degree and diploma programs. The degree requirements for a BSN degree includes 128 credits. Upon completion of the baccalaureate program, students become eligible to take the licensing examination for registered nurses.
