Program Description
In the FNP/DNP program, BSN prepared nurses can earn their practice doctorate and expand their qualifications. Through this program, you will earn your Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and be prepared for a career as a family nurse practitioner.
Upon graduation, you will be eligible to take a national examination for certification as a family nurse practitioner and to apply to practice in the expanded role in Connecticut or other states based on regulatory guidelines. The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree is a terminal degree for nursing.
In this program, you will also provide comprehensive health care to patients across the lifespan, apply & translate scientific evidence into practice and complete a DNP project that demonstrates practice scholarship.
