General Description of School

Gateway Community College provides residents and businesses of the Greater New Haven Area with innovative educational programs as well as social and cultural opportunities at its downtown New Haven Campus location. The Nursing Program at Gateway Community College was established in 2002 in response to the nursing shortage in the Greater New Haven region. The program provides graduates with the knowledge and skills to practice in a safe, effective, and competent manner within the legal and ethical framework for an entry-level Registered Nurse. Clinical experiences are offered at a variety of healthcare institutions in the greater New Haven area and throughout Connecticut.
